No DeBrusk, the Oilers are never out of it because the refs are going to continue giving them ticky tack powerplays.

I think you mean "this team is never out of it by the way they are gifted powerplays".

Haven't tested him this period. Gotta start making plays in the offensive zone this period.

Get him the puck. So far Toffoli has carried the puck up ice most of the first two games.

Disagree with Singh. This period has been dominated by Calgary, but the officials are managing the game.

Skinner has played well, though.

Not that the others have been bad, but toffolli has been the most noticeable on that line tonight.

I just don’t like our first line, I think it’s not assembled to play to Huberdeau’s strengths. He succeeds with people who can drive the net and play with speed, his play style is all about finding lanes but he needs players on his line to play with speed to create those lanes. That’s why he succeeded with players like Bennett and Duclair, look at Bennett’s goals last season, he just drives the net and Huberdeau banks picks off of him. I just don’t see Tofolli working on that line, I think Tofolli should be playing with Kadri

Oilers had absolutely nothing going on in this game before that penalty call & goal. Now they suddenly have all kinds of life and are within one goal of tying it.

NHL game management at its best, folks.

Yet another game where the Oilers were down and out until the refs got involved.
