He's also 36. Counting on this being just a "low" is folly - especially when this is an extended low carrying over from last year. The guy is a poor technical goalie who is getting old. It's a very real possibility that this is what you get moving forward.

He is cheating more and more out there and its giving the opposition easy goals. The third goal isn't a bad goal but Smith goes down way too early on a bad angle play so the pass across is just shot into an open net. A competent NHL goalie is able to slide across on that play and force the shooter to actually make a good shot.

Seriously, I'd be for waiving Smith after this and having him play in Stockton. Call Gillies up or bring in another goalie. Can't have this bs extend on and ruin our season.
