My predictions (I didn't go through the schedule game by game, so it's likely that this exact combination of records is impossible)
AFC East
New England 11-5
Miami 8-8
NY Jets 6-10
Buffalo 2-14
Of course the Pats win this division again... it's even weaker than usual.
AFC North
Cincinnati 10-6
Baltimore 10-6
Pittsburgh 8-8
Cleveland 4-12
Calling a Steelers letdown season this year and I think the Bengals win the division in a tie-breaker. Not to worry... they'll choke in the playoffs again.
AFC South
Houston 9-7
Jacksonville 8-8
Tennessee 6-10
Indianapolis 5-11
Super weak division. I don't think the Jags repeat the success they had last year... and if the Texans stay healthy I think they have the best overall roster.
AFC West
Denver 10-6
Chargers 9-7
KC 7-9
Oakland 6-10
To me this division is the biggest unknown. New QB's in Denver and KC, and new coach in Oakland... yeah it's tough to call.
NFC East
Philadelphia 11-5
Giants 9-7
Dallas 7-9
Washington 3-13
Eagles have been awful in preseason... but I think they pull it together when it counts. Feel like the Giants will bounce back from last year.
NFC North
Minnesota 11-5
Green Bay 10-6
Detroit 7-9
Chicago 6-10
Here's hoping Rodgers can stay healthy this year otherwise we'll be forced to watch Kizer lead the Packers... which could be more ugly than Hundley was last year.
NFC South
New Orleans 11-5
Atlanta 9-7
Tampa Bay 8-8
Carolina 6-10
Another tricky division to predict... all the teams in this division have strengths and weaknesses in their core. Going with NO.
NFC West
Rams 12-4
San Fran 8-8
Seattle 7-9
Arizona 4-12
Seattle, SF, and Arizona are all in rebuilding mode, so LA should take advantage.

Jets are trading QB Teddy Bridgewater to the New Orleans Saints, source tells ESPN.
Trade of Teddy Bridgewater to the Saints is expected to involve draft picks.
And with Bridgewater headed to Saints, Sam Darnold now looks to be Jets opening-night starter.

Not too much for me to quabble with in the AFC. I'll look at your NFC when I have more time.

Really this is New Englands Division, and no one else appears to be making much of a challenge. No one else is challenging for a playoff spot out of this group.

I don't know if I'd have Baltimore edging out Pittsburgh, but I think they are in the playoff mix. I think things would really need to go right for Cincinatti to challenge for a playoff spot.

After Jacksonville, this could go any way. When healthy Andrew Luck does win games seemingly on his own. If Deshaun Watson is healthy than Houston could be better. Tennessee I think are who they are. They will win between 7 or 9 games. High floor low ceiling.

I think the Chiefs are in tough to win 9 games, will depend on if they can win withing the Division again. I agree that Los Angeles wins the Division. Denver should be better even with below average QB play, but I think coaching is an issue there right now. Oakland...who knows...if Gruden doesn't work out than Davis will have to sell the team he can't afford to pay Gruden to not coach his team.

for a 3rd round pick.
Really like it for both teams. Saints get a quality backup and potential successor for Brees, Jets get a 3rd they desperately need after that trade with Indy. Signing Bridgewater off the streets and getting a 3rd for housing him during the offseason is smart asset management, especially if you want to start Darnold anyway.

More perspective on Aaron Rodgers' deal: He'll collect $67 million before the end of the calendar year, according to Adam Schefter. There are only eight players who have at least $67M guaranteed over their ENTIRE contract. They are: Matt Ryan ($100M), Matthew Stafford ($92M), Andrew Luck ($87M), Kirk Cousins ($84M), Jimmy Garoppolo ($74M), Alex Smith ($71M), Derek Carr ($70.2M) and Von Miller ($70M).

If i'm in the NFC I don't think I am afraid of the Packers while that deal is running.

I sometimes feel bad for Oakland fans. Losing the team twice. It is almost a 9 hour drive from Oakland to Las Vegas. LA was 6 hours. Flights can be cheap (1.5 hour).

I still contend there will be a lot of LA people going to Vegas for Raider games, and that the Raiders will still be more popular in LA than either the Rams or Chargers. Vegas is fine for the Raiders, but it still feels like they should be playing in LA.

He has 2 more years left on his current deal (which is below market for the position) and when this extension does increase his cap hit up into the 30 mill range I think its' fair to assume the cap will rise and the % of the cap is not going to be too out of line.
I'm biased as a Packer fan but i've read a lot that most seem to believe Rodgers actually took a lesser deal then people thought. He basically took the Matt Ryan deal with a small increase despite being the far superior QB. I don't think this has a big a ramification on the Packers chances to win as some are putting out there as the deal is not quite as punitive or big as it sounds. Heck there is a good chance Kirk Cousins earns as much or more than Rodgers over the next 4 years.

The Packers outside of Rodgers have been poor for quite some time, and yet they're still annual Super Bowl threats entirely because of Rodgers. He might legitimately be the most valuable player in the history of sports.

I agree with your take on the LA dynamic

Help, save, whatever.

Oh man. I just watched the Bills Browns preseason game.
It was the Chicago Bears Network feed. I don't think I've ever heard as horrible of a playbyplay crew as these guys.
The main guy Kyle Brandt was the worst person I've ever listened to in my life.
For the first quarter he literally talked about the Packers vs Bears first game. He didn't even bother trying to call the game. Just talking nonstop. Anyways rant over.
I wonder who will start for the Bills in game one? Probably Peterman?

I watched one of the Vikings pre season games and they had the Minnesota play by play team doing the call. And it was non stop "us" and "we" when discussing the Vikings and their play throughout the preseason. "You" are not the team dummy. Just so unprofessional and annoying to listen to. And I'm a Vikings fan!

Didn't the Bills and Browns play a couple of weeks ago?
The Fan960 sometimes plays Broncos games on Sunday afternoons. Talk about homers! They are unlistenable.
