Honestly, pretty decent period. McDavid will McDavid, he's that teams heart and soul. Outside of that the Flames held their own.
3M has been absolutely fantastic. Can't wait for the 3rd line to get injected with some legendary skill to really fortify the depth.
Just get a little more killer instinct.

They started to look more comfortable as the period went on. Come out hard in the 2nd and tie it up!

Decent chance at the end of the period there. Brodie is struggling tonight, and the 1st line needs to wake the hell up.
3M line looks good.
Brouwer is useless.
PP looks like garbage.
Smith is holding down the fort. This is the kind of goaltending we weren't getting last year. Hopefully he can keep this up.

Offensively the Flames really do much of anything.
Defensively they were ok.
McDavid is very good, too fast.
Smith was quite good.
Loved seeing Glass beat up Kassian.
That's KFF's 1st period recap.

Pretty happy. Flames played way too tentative, am sure there were some nervous jitters there.
1-0, I'll take it. This is nothing like last year where it felt like a blow out within 5 minutes.
Next goal is crucial

Edmonton has been keeping us to the outside resulting in lots of low chance shots from the blue line. Not even center ice mostly from the boards and with hardly any traffic. Flames have to be better
