I really hope Iggy doesn't waste his potential last year on the worst team in the league. That would be unbelievably lame. Please be moved out of there. He needs another shot at the cup or come home to us.

Not terribly opposed to bringing Jarome back but i'd rather bring on Vrbata, Sharp or Vanek first.
If the price is too steep on them then sure. Bring on Iggy and have him play where Chaisson is and have him on the PP in place of Versteeg

Sharp is banged up and was supposed to be re-examined tonight.
Allegedly Vrbata has 8 teams in on him, so the price may be too high.
Vanek for sure is going to be entered into a bidding war too.

I was firmly in the maybe camp but just decided to vote no. The team chemistry seems great at the moment so no need to mess with it for nostalgia sake.

We wouldn't be! You're filling a depth piece, not messing with top lines, or defence pairings! You're also adding motivation for the Flames to win! Another reason of many to try to go all the way!
Goddamn I'm starting to feel like Gaudreauvertime on this subject. Sorry if I'm being annoying, but I'm very strong willed about this opinion, and why it would not just be good for the player, but the club as well.

The point of the team however is to WIN and nothing else. I'm not convinced re-acquiring Iginla is best for helping the team win.

No, the point of the team is to be entertaining. Of course, nothing is as entertaining as winning, but if we can add a little entertainment without reducing the chances of doing so (and almost everyone agrees that, at worst, Iginla would leave us with the same chances of winning that we'd have without him), then we should go for it if the cost is negligible.

Iggy is an upgrade on Chiasson. Make it happen. Plus you'd be doing a classy favor to a legendary player by getting him off the worst team in the NHL in his last year.
