Jason Demers has been signed by FLA to a 5 year deal. 5 x 4.5.
The terms of the Agostino deal with STL have been released. 1 x 625k.

5 years for Demers. Wow. I'd like a one year low money deal for PA Paranteau. Still drives play as a 2/3 RW. We still don't have a top RW, but having at least a couple playing on the top 9 can't hurt.

And still produced at a 50 point clip. I don't think he will get the money he had on his last deal but he should have a few suitors at least.

Hudler appeared to have lost a step last season. Was it due to groin problems which are treatable or to age? If the former, he might be worth a look on a short value contract.

I see the Blues signed Bleackley to an ELC
Must be a relief for him after what was probably a tough year, getting passed around and then going back into the draft.
Blues also signed Butler to another one year deal worth $575k
Former Flame Ben Street also signed with the Wings on a 1 year $600k deal

Might help to sift out the remaining UFA's and put them at the tops of the list so it's easier to read because there are only a few left that are unsigned.

I cannot believe Butler is still in the nhl. He is terrible. Every time he has the puck I am worried

If we can get him cheap, we should do it. He is good with young players. I think he and his family took johnny under his wing. I still remembered he brought pizza to johnny after a game during a post game show. That was very funny

If Russell is having a difficult time finding a landing spot it wouldn't surprise me if he signed in Calgary on a shorter term deal.

No. Please no to Russell. I think having him on the team would be a step in the wrong direction for the team.

Nakladal and Jokipakka are both much better than Russell.

He played 5 games in the NHL last season. And he just signed for league minimum. Looks like another year in the AHL for him.
Edit: and it's a 2 way deal. Pretty much the worst contract possible.

He's still going to be close to his wife in St. Louis, for him that's what is important.
