Who thinks the flames are trying to get that number one pick ? we are a way better team then the sabers this is just awful.

The only one that seems to be at least demonstrative in losses. Everyone else looks upset, or Backlund, like nothing has happened.
Not sure if that's a good thing or not...FLames can't muddle around too much when you have a talent like JG, and just have taken his linemate from his pro career.

Yea, his body language on the bench lately says a lot. It's been mentioned before about how much this kid hates losing. He's been a winner everywhere he's played, so I'd imagine this whole losing thing is probably new to him. He looks pissed, and that's a good thing.

The Sabres are about where the Flames are rebuild wise, or pretty close to it. And they already have a better goalie.

Tanking from the start of the season or cheering for it is disgraceful. Cheering for it at this point is hoping for the best outcome for the team. There is zero benefit to winning games like tonight.

The flames made it to the second round last year Id say just from that we are the better team and quite a bit futher in our rebuild then the sabers. This is what makes me think the flames are trying to get the higher draft pick this year.

It is a good thing. I truly believe the length of contract he signs this off season will be a huge indicator of what he's feeling moving forward.
I've been hearing rumours and they scare the **** out of me to be honest.

What rumours? I hadn't heard anything about him not wanting to stay in Calgary. This would be pretty devastating though. Would love for him to be a career Flame.

Like I said they are rumours, friend of a friend heard that... Type of stuff. I'll reserve judgement for when he signs his contract, but right now I'm approaching with caution.
