I don't t understand what is historic - the party that has won almost all the elections is winning. The NDP is back where it belongs. Looks like business as usual. The idiot with the famous name? Is that it?
A party going from 30 seats to 189 seats most certainly is historic.

I feel a bit bad for the NDP, but they're likely to win both ridings I care about, and otherwise coming around to the idea of a Liberal majority. I'll miss Mulcair for his attack dog role in Parliament. He was good at that.
Why? Your life is probably not going to change very much, if at all. It's not like Justin is going to be outside your front door with Ed McMahon by his side cutting you a million dollar cheque.
This is a fantastic night all around. The extremes have lost influence, but Alberta remains well represented with who is going to be winning in this province's ridings.
I'm pissed about this though, the NDP were a good opposition, Mulcair might have the personality of a carrot but he was a good MP and opposition leader, if anything the NDP are the party that have focused the attention on Harper.
They deserved better, Canada is like the girlfriend that goes back to the ####ty boyfriend who has a nice ride, when she finally gets sick of the psycho that beats her. The NDP is the nice guy next door that gave her a ride to the woman's shelter and took care of the kids.
