believe Mattsson is 7 and Kylington is 4.

Both are paired together and Kylington mis playing the puck in the neutral zone leads to a 3 on 1 which Russia scores

There are no names on the Swedish jerseys so it can be tough to pick out the players.

extremely sloppy in their own end so far. Russia seems to get good scoring chances whenever they are on the ice

Sweden is now mixing up their defensive pairings.

Wish I could give more updates but I have to be elsewhere.

There's been zero dump and chase in this game.

Finishes the tournament with the following stats:
3 games, 1 goal, 3 (primary) assists, 8 SOG, 2 PM

Looking forward to see him and Anderson compete for the scoring lead in the World Juniors this December!

He was a +5 as well through those 3 games. Thats a pretty dominant 3 game stat line for a Dman,

This got me thinking where was Rasmus Andersson for this tournament.

He was at the Swedish u20 evaluation camp in early August and then got replaced on this team by Ollas-Mattson?

I got the list of Swedish d-men at Lake Placid and put in where they were drafted:

Aho Sebastian #35 2015
William Lagesson #91 2014
Marcus Pettersson #38 2014
Rasmus Andersson #53 2015
Andreas Englund #40 2014
Jacob Larsson #27 2015
Gustav Forsling #126 2014
Gustav Bouramman #201 2015

For the 4 nations in Russia only Gustav Forsling remained:

Alsing Olle undrafted 19 year old
Johansson Emil #206 2014
Kylington Oliver #60 2015
Lindgren Jesper #95 2015
Nyberg John #165 2014
Mattsson Adam Ollas #175 2014
Forsling Gustav #126 2014

On the 4 nation team Kylington was the highest draft pick on the team.

On the Lake Placid team he would have been the 6th highest drafted d-man.

From looking at the rosters Kylington might have done enough at the 4-nations to move up to the A-team.

With Ryan Pilon leaving the Brandon Wheat Kings, a spot opened up for him on the blueline!

I wonder if Pilon gave some indication in his pre-draft interviews that he was losing his passion for the game? That would explain why he dropped to the late 5th round when most rankings had him in the top 60.

Brandon still potentially has a problem with too many Euros. Rihards Bukarts can play one more year and Ivan Provorov is the same age as Kylington. They also have a young kid coming over from Austria looking to make the team.

Is Provorov expected to make the NHL? I know he was a top-10 pick, but the Flyers have a pretty crowded blue line and it's rare for d-men to make it right after their draft. If he doesn't make the Flyers, he has to go back to junior.

Bukarts was third on the team in points last season. He's also the absolute youngest an "overage" player can be this year with a December 31, 1995 birthday. He's attending the Oilers training camp, and could potentially get signed and sent to the AHL (since he'll turn 20 in 2015).

Found this breakdown of the Wheaties' Euro problems: http://www.brandonsun.com/sports/whe...322956521.html

So, if the Oilers, Flames, and Flyers keep their guys in the pros, Brandon could find themselves with only 1 European; but if all three teams send their players back to the WHL, Brandon could be forced to trade two of them.
