I can agree with this. He'll get a lot of playing time considering the Canucks are going downhill.

Plus he has to clear waivers next season IIRC. He'll start the season there and get a fair amount of playing time before the Canucks risk losing him on waivers. He really has a chance next season to show what he's made of.

Baertschi is terrible. Great at nothing, bad at plenty. Good riddance to whiny rubbish.

13 of those are in the last 21 since he got put with Horvat on the same line and those two have a lot of chemistry, a lot of his points are coming from going to the net which I know was a complaint from before

Yep like I said he's been Colborne good in his last 21 games. Nothing wrong with depth players that can pitch in a few points here and there.

I'm liking Baertschi's game lately. I'm confident that he turn out better then Andersson

Both good and awful players have good stretches. The difference is good ones do it consistently

Sounds like you must have done some extensive scouting of Andersson.
Or more likely, probably not.
I'd rather take a swing at one of the OHL's best point producing defenceman the last 2 seasons than hope for Baertschi to finally grow up and become a professional.

It's sure a good thing the Canucks are so deep in defensive prospects.
Oh wait...

The Canucks might not have picked Andersson there, maybe they pick someone else? Maybe they trade the pick in a package for something better? Who knows? All we can evaluate is Baertschi and the value of a "2nd round pick". Maybe the Canucks pick the next Gaudreau with that pick, you can't equate it directly to Andersson, even though I'm sure your opinion of him would be higher is he was a Canucks pick... but I digress. The point is, all that matters is whether or not Baertschi becomes a GOOD 2nd line winger, everything else is speculative.
Honest question. You've seen Baertschi enough to form an opinion. What do you expect going forward? We know he has no two way game, and he's really soft physically in all three zones, so we have to talk about his value in terms of pure point production. Aside from that, he literally offers nothing to a professional hockey team. So, what do you expect? Points-wise, on a range?
I say 30-40 points. What do you think?
