Its my understanding the first game had a single assassin and his terms of winning were to be the last man/woman standing... All town dead, all mafia dead.

Clearly Matt knows stuff the town doesn't, this is the second time now he's said something that no one else should know. How could you have a vague idea what it is, when no one in the town does? And why would you hesitate to share what you know?

To me it seems pretty obvious that Matt isn't town, he knows more than anyone else and he's being extremely vague

I'm not sure what his power that's been used could be, if it saves him from a Lynch it would be a waste to vote him on this day. So I'm going to vote the player he linked himself to, and save my vote for Matt until day 2

First game had a serial killer. The assassin generally is a scum role with extra night kills

I am vague because it is vague.

Member of the Eternals has nothing to do with my role that I know of. I also think that more members will be tagged in the coming days but don't actually know that.

well I was reading about cults and neighborizers before, but they generally recruit at night, so not sure if this is what we're dealing with

The Cupid and the Lovers variant; the Lovers can also win by being the last two in the game even if one is Mafia while the other is innocent -in these cases the game is played until a definite outcome is reached. (Even if three mafiosi and two innocents remain it is important to the Lovers which of the innocents is killed.)
