Lots of options now. Besides the 3-5-2, they could go for a 4-4-2 diamond with Blind - Herrera di Maria - Mata behind Rooney and Falcao. They could opt for a 4-2-3-1 with di Maria and two of Rooney, Mata and Januzaj behind Falcao. Still need a CM though ...

if it costs 20m (6m fee plus his wages) it's a drop in the bucket for United, and while it doesn't really fix their biggest issues, he's a world class player you never turn that down

At least with a purchase, be it Balotelli or someone else, you have to option to turn around and sell the player to recoup something.

everywhere I read the wages were involved in the fee, but it may be wrong

either way like I said its a drop in the bucket for them, and unlike Chelsea/Man City who have to worry about meeting FFP, United don't, their revenues will always allow them to spend

yeah but that's not the case now, it's a £6m loan fee (or £8m, depends on who you believe) plus his wages. Guardian also reporting that Monaco will pay a part of his wages

so Lallana moves for £27m, but United sells Welbeck to a rival for £16m. Is there a worse club than United when it comes to selling players? Can't think of any.

great transfer window for Hull, they have really solidified in the last 12 months with quality players, I think they could push for top half this year

I think Welbeck will do well for Arsenal as well, he will fit in with the attacking trio behind him, his work rate and link up play for great, and when you have Sanchez/Ozil/Ramsey behind you not being the greatest finisher isn't the biggest issue

Well, the transfer window is over.

Manchester United broke the Premier League record by spending 153 million pounds in the summer transfer window.

The 2012-13 league champions -- who broke the British transfer record with the 59.7 million-pound signing of Angel di Maria -- topped the previous highest sum of 140 million pounds spent by their neighbours Manchester City in 2009.

United's net spend of 125 million pounds was also the biggest recorded by an English club in one transfer window, while the 20 Premier League clubs paid a record 835 million pounds between them.

Falcao and Di Maria arent signing for a first year Moyes, if he had won a trophy or two he could have started attracting bigger names
