Ha, well theres that then, I don't remember Ottawa winning a game. Hence "Off the top of my head"
The next one in my memory was When FLA was in the cup final.

Just looked it up. 1998, the Red Wings swept the Capitals. That was also the last time a team repeated as cup champs. The swept both the 97 and 98 finals.
Another intersting fact: That was the 4th straight finals to end with a sweep. Insane.

The Eastern Conference sucks. All 8 teams out of the west probably would have beat New York.

Detroit over Washington in 98.
Detroit over Philly in 97.
Colorado over Florida in 96.
New Jersey over Detroit in 95.
4 straight years of sweeps, weird.

Another ridiculous save by Quick. Those 2 stick saves by him, Lundqvist is beaten by 2 deflections. Such fine margins.

12 of the 14 teams in the West would have beat New York.

Jonathan Quick with the monster performance so far. So many great saves in this period.

They've been dead all playoffs. Haven't had a single loud night at MSG. Way different than a couple years ago.

Two strange paths to the final. Both teams could have/should have lost the first two rounds. All three maybe.
The Kings are the most resilient team I've ever seen

Nash should still finish that even with the hook.

Okay maybe they beat Dallas wouldn't win; they were the only team with a record below .500 against the east. Yes even Edmonton and Calgary had records of .500 or above against eastern conference opponents. Pretty damn sad.

Exactly right. Series could easily be 2-0 Rangers.
That said, the Kings would still win if that were so.

by that logic, Calgary would beat either of these teams. The Rangers have played very well in playoffs and would have been tough competition for anyone.
