Last year's great run was created by injury to an opponent. Seems fair the reverse was true this year.
Now that it's just a qualifier and no a world group match, I wonder if Tennis Canada remembers Calgary exists - assuming we get the home draw.

While true that runs are made and lost through injury you have to still give yourself the best chance to win.
Win the doubles and beat Soeda twice.
Canada didnt give itself any chance.

Some pictures from the upcoming Flare Magazine featuring Genie. Umm, yeah, she's gonna be a megastar pretty soon looking this good.

Crazy first set between Wozniak and Dolonc. Wozniak came back from 1-5 down to win the first set 7-4. I'm pretty sure I have a better second serve than this Serbian girl, and I rarely get a chance to play tennis!

No let down for her after the Australian Open. Too bad Ivanovic couldn't play, it would have been a lot more interesting.

Purchased a Genesis Coupe recently. I was calling it Jenny before but today I had an epiphany.

Nice win by Alex Wozniak over Sabine Lisicki at BNP: 7-5, 1-6, 7-6 (5). I think she was down 0-3 or 0-4 in the tiebreak, but clawed her way back.

Another solid victory by Alex Wozniak: 6-1, 6-7(3), 6-0 over Pavlyuchenkova. She's off to the round of 16 at BNP. A nice little run she's on here. Good to see her back at it.

Genie has a great chance at Indian Wells to go deep in the tourney considering Azarenka was upset in her section of the draw. She faces Halep next which will be a tough match.
