Looks like their pre-season schedule last year was all in small towns around Alberta

This is correct. Last year the only Calgary pre-season game was at Winsport.

660 News is reporting that the Jumbotron was also destroyed. I had to listen for a full news cycle for them to repeat the story; I thought King sad the Jumbotron was OK, just the control room destroyed.

I thought I heard KK say that as a precaution, they raised the actual display board off the floor "a few feet" which he said was "laughable" as there was over 20 ft of water.

I THINK that it what he was reffering to.

As noted, the Hitmen always play in smaller, regional rinks for the preseason. What is unusual this year is that they have no games in Calgary - there was usually a game at Centennial or Winsport. What does stand out is the planned game in High River. I suspect that their usual Calgary game was moved there as a community recovery event.

I'm no pro, but I doubt this is jumbotron stuff. That thing on the top is an OLD cablebox with DVR - it's a 2002 model I think. That keyboard looks like an Avid or Final Cut Pro specific, but also OLD.

Looks to me like two video production stations. The jumbotron stuff might be in there as well, but none of that equipment is younger than 4 years

A buddy of mine just sent me an email of pictures of the dome's damages and wow, is the dressing room a disaster... There are quite a lot of images that I have never seen posted on CP yet.

If you're interested in seeing what the depths of the Saddledome looked like before the flood (including the ice plant, fan attic warehouse, and "Broadcast Control Centre"), a behind the scenes tour courtesy of Kristin Hallett:

Those would make fine visitor dressing rooms when the Oilers and Canucks come to town.

Clean up won't be the issue. Its going to be gutting the innards of the Dome that's going to be the tough task. Unless they plan on just hosing everything down and praying for the best. The event level looks like its going to be in for an epic overhaul.
