In all seriousness, you expect a certain degree of professionalism from a PBP/Color commentary team; things like proper pronunciation of names, or calling significant plays on the ice instead of spinning a tale(which most other broadcasters do after play stops) if you're hiring two broadcasters for a long-term gig.
A big example is BVB's name. All Kerr had to do was watch the interview with Van Brabant - or heck, even read Million's twitter. What happened last night?
"Nice play by Van Bry Van Bri Vanner going to the front of the net"...ugh.
Then there's Beesly who visits Peter Maher up in the press box prior to puck drop every home game to go over the opposition team's name pronunciations.
Ask yourself this, if you were a producer for SN-W would you be happy if you were hearing things about a decent portion of the Flames fanbase doing something drastic as to mute the sound or even worse - switch to a different feed? Just from the quality of the commentary alone? Case in point that's what a lot of fans are doing, myself included. People can defend him all they want til the cows come home, it won't change a thing about the actual statistical results.
If you're upper brass you absolutely never want this to happen. Ratings are important to them and their ratings have probably been dealt a minor blow from this alone.

Beesley fumbles words all the time, do you go to many games? He even screws up special ceremonies.
SN cares about ad revenue. They want you eyeballs to watch ads. You can slice your ears off for all they care.
If there was someone cheaper than the current duo, that's when they would change things up.

The Beesley & Maher example was to illustrate what I'd expect to see in terms of a professional attitude as a broadcaster.
How do you know Kerr also doesn't do something like that. Both guys make the occasional mistake yet you are assuming one has a professional attitude and the other doesn't.
Kerr works as hard as anyone in radio

I don't, but his performance thus far has me questioning it already. If it isn't work ethic, maybe he's just far too excitable to be a PBP guy. He was OK on radio.
After a colleague he works directly with (Millions) goes out of his way to tweet the correct pronunciation and he flubs it that badly in a live game, that can't look good for SN-W.

Yep, that was just simply a case of not doing his homework.
Beesley is a class act all the way. It's an easily acquirable skill, but if anyone has ever tried talking on a mic in an arena it's a bit of a mind##### because of the 2-3 second delay from mouth to ear.
I don't care for Kerr as PBP,but I don't question his professionalism.
