I don't think that this is a long shot for Canada. They have a good shot at Milos v Troicki and the doubles. They would most likely need their 2nd (Pospisil, Dancevic or Levine) to beat Troicki.
I'm half tempted to go to Belgrade to watch.

You forgot about Tipsarevic, a guy who finished in the top 10 the last 2 years. You're also not taking the home factor into account. We create such a fantastic atmosphere, that it's tough for anyone to beat us at home.
But if you're coming, stay a while, there is lots to see in Belgrade.

I was as I know how "partizan" Serbian sports fans can be. However, I think that it is not out of the realm of possibility for Canada to win the tie. Spain on clay in Madrid, forget about it. This isn't Mount Everest for Tennis Canada.
Unfortunately I don't think I could stay for more than a few nights. Just the tennis me thinks.

Those are football fans, just a bunch of hooligans, especially Partizan fans.
Tennis is totally different though. The arena is filled with casual, normal people, not idiots. Trust me, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
We're not Spain on clay, but we've got a pretty awesome team. Zimonjic, Troicki and Janko is a fantastic support to the Djoker.
I'm not saying there is no way Canada wins, upsets happen, but Serbia is a clear favourite imo.

Why didn't Tipsarevic play against the USA? Injured?

If I do decide to go, I may end up sending you a PM with a few questions. That is if it would be ok.

Of course, that goes for anybody that plans on going.
HitterD, Janko withdrew. He's sort of in a crisis. Of the last 5 tournaments, he went out in the 1st/2nd round 3 or 4 times. He's not focused and felt that with his current form, couldn't contribute to the team. I feel something's up in his personal life.

Good interview with Jesse Levine:
http://www.cbc.ca/allinaday/2013/04/...davis-cup-win/
He describes some behind-the-scenes stuff and what it was like on the sidelines this weekend. Very cool to hear.

As your heard in the interview, Pospisil is in Mexico
http://www.atpworldtour.com/posting/2013/6284/mds.pdf
He needs to start winning in these challenger events. His ranking has dropped to 140.
And Levine is in Houston.
http://www.atpworldtour.com/posting/2013/717/mds.pdf
He needs to pick some points at the ATP level as well. Maybe get closer to 50 than 100.

^^ That makes this Davis cup progress even crazier.
We have one and a half impact players on our team.

It really goes to show how easy of a path the number 1 seed gets to the semi finals

Pospisil is into the semifinals in Guadalajara. He's jumped from 140 to 125 so far.
He plays Rajeev Ram tomorrow.

Milos won today in Monte Carlo, plays the Finn Jarkko Nieminen on Wednesday.
Milos could pick up some much needed points here.

Not to mention World Number 13 ranked Gilles Simon got bounced first round trying to defend 360 points from last year, Milos will move up at least 1 ranking this week.
It's going to take some really good results but i'd love to see Milos in the top 10 by the end of the year

I'll be in Paris during the French Open. Tickets for when we're there are sold out (minus the superduper $1000 ones) so hopefully we can scalp some.

missed opportunity although he probably would have been bounced by Del Potro next.. that's still 45ish points lost to a player he should never lose to.
