Ah yes. The mating call of the butt hurt.

Thanks for putting words in my mouth, all the while complaining that is what others are doing. The ironing is just sickening.

I was merely pointing out the fact you're super positive. All the time. Why does that mean I have a fractured ego, exactly?

A pretty ridiculous stance considering our draft results. We can barely develop NHL regulars let alone impact players, but anyone who isn't towing the company line should be harshly questioned? Doesn't add up to me.

Wtf are you talking about? The post that I edited when I realized I had two posters confused? The post above this one has it covered, you're not worth responding to.

Glad you realized your error. Not really sure how I'm supposed to know you've since rescinded your statement without running over everything with a fine tooth comb.

I fixed it about 5 seconds after it was posted, you could have looked up 3". Either way, your reaction is bizarre.

Honestly, depending on the player, you can watch them multiple times and learn something new about their game every time...or not get anything out of it.

I've seen Greg Chase of the Hitmen play a dozen times and still notice things.'

And there's a pretty big debate among scouts in terms of how many live viewings you need to conclude anything about a player.

I still have to wonder why my refusal to accept criticism for comments I didn't make would be "bizzare". I find it equally weird that posters would have such a problem with people relating a players performance to stats alone that they're willing to argue for over a page on the topic.

As has been previously mentioned by several posters, neither stats alone or live viewing tell the whole story in an analysis of a player. When examined alone its hardly fair to consider either one outlandish or baseless.

Could we talk about Jankowski rather than a stupid argument that has last multiple pages?

Janko & the Friars face last place Maine Friday.

Janko in 20 gp has 4g-6a and a +3 rating. Not too shabby for a freshman getting used to his new size. Maine is the last game of the season and after that I would assume the tournaments begin?

Maine isn't the last game of the season. They still have 10 games left, including Maine: http://www.friars.com/sports/m-hocke...key-sched.html

Home and home against BC on March 1-2 should be of interest to Flames fans.

I know Jankowski was (is) a risky pick, as many have stated, but the potential he offers is worth the risk in my opinion: 1)From what I gather from his interviews, he appears to have a good attitude, which I hope will lead to him to really making use of the many months he'll have in the summer to get bigger and stronger. 2) He's got size (at least the "frame"). 3) From the brief snippets of video I've seen of him this year, he appears to have good skill. 4) Also, he is a "young" 18- year-old (a week younger, and we're seeing where he'd rank in this year's draft, which could be interesting).

I've got to admit, my knowledge of Jankowski is mostly anecdotal, but if ever Flames fans need to be patient with a prospect it's him.

You shouldn't be making statements like that based entirely on stats. It's ridiculous.

Why? A scoring pace of 0.5 ppg is promising for freshman facing vastly superior competition compared to last year. It's also a pretty widely accepted opinion that he needs to add a little meat to his frame.

It is a joke on a previous argument in the thread.

It's unlikely. Boston College is the favorite to come out of Hockey East. New Hampshire and Boston University will be tough to beat too.

Currently the Friars are sitting in a tie for 4th with the Merrimack Warriors, but the Warriors have a game in hand. The Friars are also only 2 points up on the 6th place River Hawks. So it appears they will probably finish between 4th and 6th, a 2nd round appearance in the Hockey East tourney is a possibility, but reaching the finals, let alone winning would be one hell of an accomplishment.

However next year if Johnny Hockey and Bill Arnold go pro I think the Frairs could be in the running to come out of Hockey East with only 6 Seniors graduating (and 2 have barely played)m they have such a young promising team IMO.

Looks like he scored:

The Friars took a 1-0 lead at 11:07 of the first when Jankowski scored his fifth of the year by knocking home a loose puck in front of Ouellette after freshman Nick Saracino (St. Louis, Mo.) created a turnover at the Maine blue line and drove hard to the net before collecting his fourth assist of the year on the

Goal is right at the beginning. Nice to see him make a slick move in tight rather than panicking and shooting.
