He chose Tavares who was selected by Boston at the end of the first round.

BTW, could we put the rules for this draft at the top of one of the threads? While the threat of Louongo may be enough to get some to pick quickly, it would be nice to clearly define the hours the draft is on (ie 8:00 am to 10:00 pm Mountain Time), the window each person has to make his/her pick (3 hours), and the consequences of not making the pick or sending a list to a stand-in (consensus pick, next undrafted player using NHL's list etc).

Please remember to include the position and cap hit with your selections in the other thread.

Really like that pick by the Jets to get Heatley, now they have Heatley and Datsyuk, imagine the offence those 2 could generate...

Heatley had Thornton, and he didn't light up the league this season...
Would Datsyuk really be a significant upgrade over Thornton, in the offensive zone?

I'm really happy Suter got this low, I expected someone else to pick him.

^ Yeah, Suter at that cap hit is a very good deal. I had my eye on him. Still hoping my first choice survives the next ~20 picks and is available for me.

Now I have to come up with plan B.
