you can easily tell those guys because they'll have a ridiculous K/D ratio but still won't get one of the top 3 ranks at the end of the match. that's why i like the Score Per Minute thing that battlelog has, that's the true worth of a player

ha, I remember one game I was first place with like 15-17 or something, but had like 5500+ points and the guy below me had 42-12 and was 5200+. I revive people like Doc Roe running around out there.

It's just annoying that I'm the only person who ever revives people. I'll have a team with 3 medics + me and I'll be the only one reviving people. Why are you going medic if you're just going to try and kill people, go assault or engineer.

The biggest flaw for me with this game is the team work. Unless I'm playing with my friends the people I play with are so fataing stupid. They never realize when we are being flanked, no one ever heals you, no one ever gives you ammo, mortars are usually useless plugs who just sit back, no one has the balls to rush a M-COMM with me, there are always like 4 snipers who hang out in the same place. It is starting to get ridiculous and I find myself rage quitting a lot of matches because of it. I can't take the idiocy anymore with these monkeys. Can't wait until CoD comes out so some of the dillweeds leave.

I just run around in jeeps capping flags. I can get the top three and also have a decent ratio, over 1:1. I have squad mates spawn on me, but other than that I'm on my own.

But sometimes I just like to fool around. They did something to the game that screws up C4. So sometimes after I exit a jeep and try to use my trigger, it just drops more C4. I really hope they fix that.

SPM is pretty good though it still is weighted towards seeking action, whereas if we own 4/5 of the points better to defend, and I like defending a point, but doesn't give as many points.

Same problem as a stay at home D.

I just had this happen to me in a game of rush in Metro. There must have been some kind of glitch that hid your team indicator because all of the guys on my team started firing at me whenever I came near them, that was my first tip off that something was off.

I was hiding behind a box and mid reload an enemy came around and was like 3 ft from me, looked right at me and started firing, frantically I pulled out my sidearm and surprisingly gunned him down. I thought to myself wow that guy sucked. Then I had a guy from a long range shoot at me and I was sure he hit me, I sniped him back in the face and looked at my health, still 100%.

I wish I had found this out earlier.... After the third time I was shot at and assumed I'd die and didn't, I got a little aggressive with it. I ran through the choke point up the stairs right into where all the bad guys were, killed 3 dudes who were clearly blasting away at me and ran to the bomb. Set it, killed the next 5 guys that came to disarm it, ran to the other bomb, armed it and used all the rest of my ammo killing 7 more guys. I knifed 2 after that just by running straight at them and knifing them in the face. It was crazy!

An explosion ended my fun, but I finished the round 29-3. I got some heated Xbox live messages from the guys saying I was hacking. It was fun while it lasted.

I've noticed quite a few glitches and bugs in the week and a half i've been playing this game, that was the first positive one. IMHO once MW3 comes out this game will fade into the abyss, too bad, because I was really hoping this was the one to overtake COD.

i play a very aggressive style so i don't do much defending in conquest. i'll stick around a point and defend it if it's being attacked, but if there's no enemies nearby then i'm off to the next one. i find that the more i'm on the move the more effective i am, i love taking a long route around a point and coming in behind a squad. it's like shooting fish in a barrel

how so? Bad Company 2 had a very loyal following and there seems to be way more people playing BF3. it may take a hit on the console side, but BF3 will dominate the PC playerbase

Think you meant support.

Unless things are different on the PC than they are on the PS3.

The overall game just isn't as polished or slick as it should be if it wants to take down CoD. The single player was ridiculously lackluster and there are only 6 or 7 maps for the multiplayer, two of which don't even have vehicles (the whole draw to BF3).

And comparing PC to console these days is like comparing an ant to a bull. There are simply far more console players than PC now. Dont get me wrong, I would play on PC if I had the time and money to keep updating my computer every 6 months with 400 bucks worth of new RAM and video cards, but my 250 Xbox, which I've never had to upgrade, suits me just fine.

Considering how many copies BF3 sold, and how the PC user base has managed to keep up with the consoles number wise, I'd hardly call it an "ant".

But you are right. Appealing to the lowest common denominator with brainless twitch based gameplay using inaccurate analog sticks and auto aim on 6 year old technology in "almost HD" does seem to be the best way to sell a ton of copies.

Remember, popularity != better.

Hey guys. I'm looking to get a new desktop pc and want to make sure I can play Battlefield 3 on it with decent settings. I'm a total computer noob, so could someone possibly look at this and tell me what you think or what problems I might encounter with it.

For the MemEx System
6870 > 6850, but I doubt there'd be that much difference between the two

The HDD in the MemEx system is probably faster too, the 5400RPM drive in the HP is sllloooowwww...

stupid question time....how will this affect my gaming experience? I fully understand I wouldn't be getting the best machine, I just need something that won't jump out at me as being ridiculous.

Level load times would be impacted, probably quite a bit with a drive like that. Good luck getting a plane or chopper.

I'd say get a small SSD to go along but trying to restore the prebuilt HP Windows onto an SSD would probably make for a few days of pain at least.

Hard to say exactly how bad it would impact the load times.
