well, they had 3 hits plus a 100 mph line drive to 3rd

I don't disagree with you though, he has pitched well so far

Cooper Criswell has 1 career start before tonight. He gave up 3 runs and 6 hits on 1IP. Of course that was with the Angels. But you throw on a Rays jersey and face the Jays and you're pretty much a Hall of Famer.

6 up and 6 down - sounds like a typical game against the Rays

Coaching matters A TON with pitchers. The Jays are not bad, as an organization - some successes, some failures - but the Rays are the gold standard. They just keep turning dirt into gold, over and over.

Phew. Looks like the legend of Cy Criswell is over with.

Jays need to manufacture more out of this inning than just 1.

Looks like the unknown factor for this Rays pitcher wore off once the top of the order came around again.

Dammit. Of course the Rays are positioned absolutely perfectly.

Wait. Did I hear that correctly? Manny Margot is 16-16 when it comes to cashing in a runner on 3rd with less than 2 outs??? That's incredible. I don't even think the Jays have a guy that would be 1-16.

Man did that ever come close to Bo's face. Freaky. I'd be ticked off too.

Really wish Kirk didn't swing at the first pitch after that. Take a few, the pitcher might have been rattled.

situational hitting - for some reason, the Jays seem completely indifferent to it, organizationally

That's a good outing from Berrios. Every inning pitched by the starters is crucial right now.

I'm just so sick of these ####ing Rays. It's been 15 years of these exact type of games that they win 90% of the time. Outside of the Yanks utter dominance of the Twins, which is almost hilarious at this point, I don't think there is a more one sided matchup in all of sports than the Rays over the Jays. Just beyond stupid at this point.

These umps are really trying to make stop watching baseball.

How do you call something 3-4 inches outside a strike?

That was a horrific framing job by the catcher too. It’s time for the robo umps.
