From what doctors have been saying, it could take a sudden turn in day 5 or 6, so definitely not out of the woods yet. But I also think that in his video appearance, he looked a lot better than I expected a 74 year old, overweight man to look on day 3 of testing positive.

On Sunday, the doctors had said that Mr. Trump had been given dexamethasone, a steroid that is typically not used unless someone needs mechanical ventilation or supplemental oxygen.
Mr. Trump’s doctors said that at one point, his blood oxygen levels dropped to 93 percent, which would place him in a category many medical experts categorize as severe Covid-19.
Some medical experts said on Monday that, given Mr Trump’s risk factors — he is 74, male and overweight — that he should be closely watched for at least the first week of his infection, given that some patients quickly deteriorate several days into their illness.
“I think it would be disastrous to be in a situation where he gets really sick at the White House, and you’re having to emergency transfer him,” said Dr. Céline Gounder, a clinical assistant professor of medicine and infectious diseases at the N.Y.U. Grossman School of Medicine, who has been caring for Covid-19 patients. “To me, it’s not safe.”
Dr. Gounder also noted that dexamethasone can cause a sense of euphoria. Mr. Trump said in his tweet that he feels better than he has in 20 years.
“A lot of people will just feel really great. If you had any aches and pains, they will disappear. If you had a fever, that will disappear,” she said. “People can become somewhat manic, grandiose.”
Dexamethasone, which tamps down the body’s immune response, is typically given later in the illness, when some patients’ immune systems go into overdrive and attack their vital organs. Experts in infectious disease and emergency medicine have said the steroid is given to patients whose conditions are getting worse, not to someone who is close to getting discharged, raising questions about whether doctors were being overly aggressive or if they were being forthcoming about the president’s true condition.

I took high dose prednisone for every second day over a 2 week period in 2016. It certainly worked for what I was taking it for, but holy crap it affected me. I would talk for literally a half hour straight and then realize "I've been talking non-stop for like a half hour and I don't even know what the hell I said". Then the days I didn't take it I'd kind of be normal, but then the next day I'd take it and be back on the yap train. So I could see how he'd send all those manic tweets this morning.
