Our licences have dinosaurs on them, hands down the coolest drivers licences in Canada. They might be thin, but they do have the best design.

I know combining license/ID with the health card was something the Alberta Party wanted to do last election.
I'd like it if someone did that, but hell, they'll probably just be digital in 10 years anyway

The deal was I would tell my friends that not all cops are bad guys. I did keep my word and that guy really was cool because the illegible license ticket didn't come with any demerits and was only $40.

And you've been a bootlicker ever since. Defund the police!

When I see the government seemingly unable to make these small improvements in the most obvious places, but then have time for things like the sovereignty act, it amazes me. Everyone knows the AHC “card” is garbage. It’s the easiest fix and there’s no debate. But nothing can be done…it’s ludicrous.

The Alberta NDP is going to run a campaign on policies rather than mud slinging
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmon...tley-1.6692440
INB4, Albertans find the campaign too wonky and vote what they've historically been comfortable with. Think Lucille Bluth "I don't understand the question, and won't respond" energy.

That's quite a change for the NDP, based on the last election. That said I do hope Notley sticks to her word and focuses on policies.

I think what we really need to do, as a society, is construct some form of electrified dome, maybe with some thunder? Where two combatants enter but only one is entitled to exit at the conclusion of proceedings.
During which time, presumably feats of strength are performed perhaps even an airing of grievances?
Then the victor will be allowed to rule by divine right.

I'm just saying...if we're going to devolve to the basest levels of society we shouldnt half-ass it.
Trials by combat.
But we're progressive. So...you know, the two women have to do it.

You can always tell when a political party is scared of their opponent based on their ads.
The UCP is TERRIFIED of the NDP.

Right? How about some actual solid ideas, and not just attacking the other side?
Those ads are an abomination.

Alberta NDP doesn't do attack ads. "Look how weak they are! No backbone!! I can't vote for a party without a spine."
Alberta NDP does attack ads. "Look how divisive they are!! I cannot vote for a party that is tearing Albertans apart."
And round and round we go.

Quote:
Founder, Mackenzie Lee, recognizes that over the past several years there has been a tendency to cave to the whims and wishes of Ottawa and provinces that are putting their interests above Alberta’s. Mack, had this to say, “It is past time that Alberta has not just a loud voice, but a fighter, for our principles and to put Alberta first in our actions and provincial policies.”
Mack is a first generation Canadian. His grandparents fled from Communist China. The opportunities Alberta was able to provide his parents when they came to Canada are the same opportunities that he wants to see for his two young daughters today. Mack understands, perhaps more than most, growing up and hearing from his parents how freedoms can be lost in a single generation if they are not protected and if the people do not stand up for themselves.
