Sirois' play this year has been very good, and I wouldn't be shocked to see him on the Gold Cup squad. He's still behind Borjan, Crepeau and St Clair on the depth chart, but he's rising quickly.

Yeah, that's an odd one. Literally hadn't heard Shaw's name in almost 20 years, had no idea he was still in the game after his playing career. He's the assistant coach at Watford U23s, so I could see why he might get hired, but Neville? A recently sacked manager. No idea.

Where's the money coming from to pay those coaching salaries? I can't imagine they were cheap.

World Cup money. But instead of spending on infrastructure and grassroots, they do this.

Of course I am just speculating, unless...

We very very likely have better players now than we will in 10 years. While we should be mindful of the future, they're insane if they don't go all in with this group to some extent.

Not clear if it's just for Nations League or not. Sort of think it is.

I'm sure Herdman has been screaming for additonal resources for years and years, and with the shakeups at the top of the CSA (in theory) he's getting some of his asks...I assume.

I think everyone knew this was coming, but still sad to see him go. Hope they win the Nations League; he deserves a trophy after 20 years of repping this country.

The greatest soccer player Canada has produced on the men’s side and nobody had heard of him until two years ago.

Go win a trophy

Herdman pleaded again yesterday for more CSA(B) support.

https://www.tsn.ca/soccer/john-herdm...lash-1.1973419

Panama has a 10 day camp and played a friendly for their prep for tonight. Canada got Phil Neville and some other chap and a quick 4 day camp.

Panama plays them tough. Canada has more skill, more speed and organization and coaching.

Canada not looking good in the 2nd half. Panama circling.

Good win. Solid workmanlike performance vs a clearly inferior opponent. In control from start to finish. Excited for Sunday!
