I’m guessing all the animals he told to Firetruck Off after picking his favourites had a bad day.

Ended up with a whimper in the far NW. Little bit of thunder and rained for a few minutes, didn't amount to much.

A loud couple of loud boomers in my area when I went to bed around 10 pm.
SE Calgary.
Some rain afterwards...not much though.

Calgary is so weird with those isolated storms, that's life at this elevation I suppose.
If you feel you missed out, then I have good news for you today, especially by mid/late afternoon through the evening: we're supposed to get hammered by rain & possible bad storms today.

Went to pick up my kids from school up here in the NW (Evanston). Right at the bell to end school for the summer, kids came running out only to encounter a steady flow of inundating rain. Woooo, SUMMER!

Actually after looking at the radar, I'm not sure we'll get hit by rain/ storms with this weather pattern: the clouds are moving in a swirling formation all around us well outside the city, while Calgary itself is in a light green (light to moderate rain) zone.
Then again, these things can change fast, so we'll see.

Tons of standing water has the downside of concealing this year's horrific potholes and my car paid the price.

Getting an absolute downpour of pea-sized hail in Whitehorn right now
Edit: Transitioned into a heavy rain pretty quick, but so much of a heavy rain I can barely see across my cul-de-sac.
