I'm a masochist who has been watching Academy but I had to stop the latest episode. Tilly is an annoying character, her teaching a theatre class and the hologram being really into it was a bridge too far.
I'll subject myself to further punishment next week.
Ditto, being a Star Trek fan requires a certain element of masochism but this is a struggle...its an hour long? I have to keep pausing it to let the cringe dissipate...this is brutal and I'm only like 15 minutes in.
I set my phaser to Maximum Kill and left it on the counter and...it is calling me...and I am seriously considering it...

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
This episode was literally physically painful to watch.
Spoiler!
I'm going to start with saying something nice, or two things nice. Robert Picardo did a great job in this, and there were some nice callbacks to Voyager.
Its too bad that he was teamed with the Sam Character and worse yet, the actress that plays Sam, who is utterly awful as an actress.
This was the second episode where there really wasn't story to invest in. This was just another awful feelings episode.
The Writers might think they're writing poignant dialogue like the crap between Caleb and what her name, but what they're writing is stupid people gibberish, it makes the characters sound like they have tourettes.
Here's the stretch run.
This episode takes place three months after the events of a couple of episodes ago where they had the training mission go bad, and they're still suffering the effects, but frankly this is Star Fleet Academy, you know future Captains and Explorers and officers, after watching this episode and the last one, none of these silly characters should have passed any psychological testing to get in. In TNG they lost a crew member in Tasha Yar and they still managed to get back to their job.
This is just an extension of that stupid character that ate her comm badge and then fell apart on the bridge during the exercise, I can't buy into characters that shouldn't be there.
Unless this is the mirror universe and Star Fleet Academy is backwards world and its a daycare or mental health facility for the worst of society.
And then we get to the cringe worthy return of Tilly, She was as annoying and silly as ever with rotten dialogue, and Mary Wiseman or whatever her name is, is not a good actress at all.
On the good side, clearly the director or producer or writer with the foot fetish porn addiction must have had the week off after last weeks episode that should have been Star Fleet Academy feet.
With most shows they manage to improve as they move along from the pilot, the Actors get more familiar with their character, the directors get better, the writers tighten up their scripts and understand the lore.
Not this show, every week the episodes get worse, I'd say that whatever this weeks show was is rock bottom, but I have my doubts.
