Suppose you can't win 'em all but losing 2 out of 3 to the Royals though? Gross.

Gotta score a few more runs if we're going to get back on a roll, can't count on the pitching to hold them to 1 run every game to win.

Only averaged just under 2.5 runs per game over that 7 game trip yet went 4-3. Thank you pitchers.

How was that on Rivera? He was indicating to Bautista where the throw was coming in (to the home plate side of the base) and that Bautista should slide to the other side to make the 3rd baseman need to stretch farther for the tag.

If this confuses Bautista, then Bautista needs to retire and find something else to do.

Bit of a bizarre line-up there yesterday - seems guys might be a bit more banged up than the team seems to be letting on.

Bummer about dropping those last two in KC, but I'd call their 4-3 road trip very successful. Time to start a solid homestand and get those bats going again.

Pillar on the 15 day DL with thumb sprain.

Blue Jays place Kevin Pillar on the 15-day DL with a left thumb strain. Darrell Ceciliani recalled from triple-A Buffalo.

After a very Dickey like start to the game the bottom of the 1st inning has been fun. Jays up 2-0

Turn game on just in time to watch Thole give up a pass ball with runners on 1st and second with 1 out on an 0-2 count.

Get that piece of crap of this team already.

Dickey and Thole are ####ing clowns.

That said, gibbons should not have let him start the 5th. It was obvious in the 4th his knuckle ball wasn't moving and they were on it.

Nice win. Bullpen looking much stronger lately. 4 hit night for Travis, 3 RBI for JB.

Plus the A's beat the O's so back into a tie for 1st again.

First chance to watch Benoit last night. Came away very impressed, particularly at his composure with runners on. Also didn't realize his velocity still sat where it does.

Between him and Grilli, that's a nice injection of veteran leadership to the bullpen and it seems to have rubbed off. From a pure numbers standpoint I didn't think it was going to work, but early returns have been fantastic.
