top 5 prospect pool in toronto? yikes...
I forgot, every year is the leafs year until they're not good and then it's next year. The leafs are always the best and when they're not, the next year they'll be the best!

That's not the point ffs. WIdeman controls where he goes. He'd waive to go to a contender and if a contender doesn't want him he won't go anywhere.

All you're doing here is being Toronto's version of Verve. You're on a rival team's message board as a fan of a team that is a resounding and enduring failure, desperate to gloat about something that hasn't happened yet.
Come and talk to us with some humility when there's the first semblance of results.
What you're doing right now is outright laughable.

Not looking like it so much. They have not lived up to the hype. And that Kane trade has been a disaster.

So you're saying the Leafs had high expectations this year?

They didn't need to have high expectations, they're the best!

They never have expectations any year because they're that bad, and any taste of playoffs is a pleasant surprise

What you don't see is a fairly vast category.
Buffalo does have a good future.

I have my doubts BigTuna is a real person. I suspect it's some sort of psychic manifestation of all the frustration, arrogance, and homerism of millions of Leafs fans sprung to unholy life on the interwebs and given agency by their unrelenting pain.

Whatever he is, he's probably the most successful troll on this site. In the traditional sense of the internet term.
So many people bite on his posts, it's hilarious.

Can Stamkos not agreeing to waive be attributed in any way to spite?

If they don't, then he's not likely to waive his no trade. Why uproot your family for a chance to play on the 28th place team?

I don't think it is spite, it is more of him probably not wanting to go somewhere else during a season. Why would he want to leave right now? Despite their underperformance the Bolts are most likely a playoff team with a great group of players. I think he feels that group has a good chance to win this season. Also, the team gave him that NMC and he has every right to use it.

Could be.
Although, if his true intention is to sign with the Leafs on July 1, any trade he'd be willing to accept would just be a short-term rental for the rest of the season.
The only reason for him to accept a trade somewhere else would be if it gives him a better chance of a long playoff run and a shot at the Cup. Tampa went to the Final last year and are in a decent playoff position right now. He really has no incentive to disrupt his life and move to a new city for a couple of months for what would be at best a slight improvement in his chance to win the Cup.

I think it's Roger Maynard. Apologies for stealing your sig, Roger. Good to see you still fighting the good fight almost 25 years later.
