Interesting start by Stroman... trying too hard? Poor execution?
1st inning - error on attempted pickoff at 2nd, throw behind Hosmer...

Can someone explain how Upton Jr. is anything? When we acquired him I heard lots of chatter about a solid pick up that could possibly be a Bautista replacement for next season.
All I've seen so far is dismal plate appearances. I mean his swings don't even look like that of an MLB player, let alone a good one. What am I missing?

There is always an adjustment when changing teams, when going to a new role, etc. We saw the same with Tulo. Hopefully he'll readjust quickly

I honestly don't know. His swings are always wild yet super defensive. At the plate, he looks like a little leaguer facing a major league pitcher.

I meant the way he slid into third. He awkwardly went above the bag and tried to tag at the tail end of the slide. I get what he was thinking, but he probably had it if he just went straight in.

That slide was on Rivera. He completely confused Bautista. I'm not sure how Rivera still has a job. He's terrible.
