i was not expecting it to have such a short take off length! i've seen smaller planes use more runway!

This has probably been my best aviation day of 2012. Going to be incredibly hard (if not impossible) to top that! Planning to edit my pics and get some up on my flickr stream tonight. Too bad the sun came out 5 minutes after the departure!

That's awesome how short of a take off it uses. The 124 uses the entire runway in Calgary. Do the extra engines just add that much more power? Or does the 124 do it to preserve gas?
