If you want to get Nash and Crosby going, stick Toews on his line.
The hardest working player tonight, been responsible for both goals.
Someone need to go into the corners and get the puck. That's not Iginla, that's Toews.

Hafta agree. Although he made two nice stops on the breakaways, Marty's unnecessary plays for the puck are why Canada is down right now.

Brodeur has made some key saves, but like it or not, he's the reason we're down...that and the running around in our zone...

Bouw should be watching Doughty closely, and he might learn how to use his size and hit someone. It don't hurt to crush the odd forward, instead of just shoving him into the boards.

1st goal was Bergeron not taking his man (Rafalski) and then Crosby tipping it into his own net. 2nd goal was Brodeur's fault completely and the 3rd goal was mainly Brodeur's but the defense were doing nothing. Crosby actually took a guy out before Drury put it in.

Well if you aren't going to take plus minus into consideration what has he done on the scoresheet tonight? Nothing.

I hate to say it, but I'm really relieved Sakic is finally not playing for Canada...I never was able to root against any team that Super Joe played for. Here's hoping for a great third.

Put me in the Lalongo start for next game camp. Brodeur just looks bad out there a lot of the time.

Pronger and Boyle were doing their Sarich impersonations on the 3rd goal. Nash is never seen in the defensive zone because he's hovering at the blueline waiting for a breakout pass.

USA 3-2 after the 2nd period.
Marty Brodeur should just concentrate on stopping the puck and not worry about puck handling and flopping like crazy. He looks shaky on those 3 goals against. But not all of them are his fault though. The defensemen should start removing people in front of the net. Pronger and Niedermayer are showing their age on this game. I really like this Drew Doughty guy. He can move the puck and a good passer as well.
I think Canadians are dominating this game but those defensemen and Brodeur is costing them the game. Crosby is getting handcuff on this game because he doesn't have anyone to set up. I don't think Richard is working out on that line. I hate to say this but Babcock shoud stop experimenting his line and give Crosby the player he can set up, which is Iginla.
So far I am liking the work of the energy line Iggy-Toews-Morrow, the physicality of Rick Nash, and the Sharks line are not bad either. I have to say cut down on Pronger's time as he really suck on this game.
GO CANADA GO!! Very exciting game so far. We just need some more goals. BTW, I think the ref is doing great by letting the plays dictate the game. They didn't call a lot of penalties (who they normally call) on both sides. The last penalty on Staal is definitely a good call. Rafalski had an inside position on Staal and Eric just grabbed him which is a non-no.

thats why I said his puck handling, or attempt at it caused the goals
he tried to clear the puck before the first goal and gave it to the American player, and on the 3rd one if he doesn't take that stupid lunge at it he isn't out of position
the players around him aren't playing great in their own zone but he needs to be better
he has the experience, there are no excuses for this
but if Babcock benches players for hat tricks than who knows what he is going to do
