Huge win!

Really enjoyed being at the game, wonderful atmosphere. It just had the electricity and buzz that a game 7 always brings.

I think this series is the best thing that could have happened to the Hitmen, when a favourite hits adversity early on and survives it, it makes them stronger in the later series. The 1989 Flames are just one example of many. I bet the Hitmen cruise to the finals now and don't have to play another game 7 to do it either.

Yeah the game went pretty much as expected. The Warriors had to win game 6 if they were going to finish off the Hitmen. Awesome crowd, the Lets Go Hitmen chant at the start of the game was the best I have heard in along time at the Dome. Round 2 vs the Tigers should be a great series.

Interesting that in the second, Moose Jaw stopped trying to match Calgary physically, and instead just tried to skate hard. The final 40 minutes were much more difficult as a result. In the end though, Bosch was pretty awful, and Jones did his part. The last five games went the way the first five were expected to go.

I made it to the 'Dome for the 3rd period. Am I ever glad I did. I'm thankful too that Shaw is showing Calgary/Medicine Hat...I'll be in BC for the first two games of that series!

I don't think they will cruise past the winner of the Saskatoon-Brandon series but I guess the winner of that series could be too beat up/tired to put up a good fight.

Tigers-Hitman series? Yeck. Too bad there is no way for both teams to lose.

I think Moon is going to cry when the Hitmen win the Memorial Cup.

Probably not, considering that when I move back to Calgary in a year or two I will be a season ticket holder and I have been a fan of the Hitmen longer than I have been a Hurricanes fan.

I was pissed when they lost to Ottawa and Stuart was taken out by the cheap hit in the semi's.

Hitmen in 4, maybe 5. I think the first series was enough of a scare that they'll put pedal to metal now.

The important question is, will the feature be prime rib or ham at the Avison Young buffet on Friday? I ain't making reservations unless its prime rib.

The Hitmen open round 2 with a pretty convincing win 5-2 over the Tigers. The Tigers really had very few good chances to score as the Hitmen played a solid defensive game.

Like I said, I think the Hitmen will cruise through this series, which will be much needed if they want to have gas left in the tank against Brandon and then through the Finals into the Memorial Cup.

The Hitmen have really clamped down defensively. They were inconsistent on offense today as most of their goals came within 5 minute spans, but with stifling defensive efforts like that you will go a long way.

Though this might be the last time I go to a hockey game with an ear infection.
