Too much ego.

This is going to end badly for everyone involved. The Broncos won't win for a long time now.

Dis, I am curious. If/when Cutler gets moved, who do the Broncos turn to for a QB?

Chris Simms of course!

It's ridiculous.

Seriously. This has just set back the franchise a couple to several years. We're basically in pure rebuilding mode now.

Unbelievable. I would be happy now if I hear McDaniels gets fired. You can't just screw up something like that royally.

I think a guy like Jeff Garcia could run that offense for a year.

So Cutler gets pissed off when he finds out he may of been offered up as trade bait but his coach denies it....stews about it for a couple weeks...and now because he was offered in trade...asks to be traded??

What a tool.

Quote:
"At the end of the meeting, he wasn't like, 'Jay, I want you as our quarterback, you're our guy.' It felt like the opposite. He basically said that I needed to tell him if we can't work this out, to let him know," Cutler added. "I thought he was antagonizing me and that was disappointing because I was ready to move on, committed as a Bronco. Really, I figured we'd hash things out, shake hands, laugh a little and move forward. What happened [Saturday] was the last thing I expected. If I didn't think it could be fixed, I never would have come back to Denver. It was painfully obvious to me and Bus [Cook, his agent] it's not something they want to fix."
Quote:
"Again, I think that's been a pattern. I couldn't get [Cutler] to talk to me for two weeks or to talk to Mr. Bowlen. Then when he came here this weekend, we couldn't get a one-on-one meeting, just me and him alone. He wanted Bus in there, so I had Brian sit in, too. And it was the four of us. There wasn't any yelling, none of that. I can't believe we get to a totally different [interpretation].

Aren't you happy to learn this about Cutler now than in a year or two when the team actually has a chance to win?

I know that McDaniels is the new guy so easier to get on him than the guy that you have cheered for for the past few years, but the way that Cutler has acted like a baby through this whole thing sure wouldn't make me want him as my QB and supposed "leader" on the team.

My concern is that somehow Detroit is going to get back in the Cutler sweepstakes and as bad as our team/QB's are he seems exactly what the team does not need at all.

Cutler will not be traded.

He can bitch and moan all he wants. He played Rivers twice, and should have lost both. Had a chance at getting to the playoffs this year only to choke going down the stretch. Got one of the "untouchable" coaches fired in the process.

Unless someone offers multiple 1st round picks, I dont see it happening.

As a Broncos fan I still dont think they could ever win the Superbowl with this guy as QB so maybe its best they part ways now. I dont mind a season or 2 of missed playoffs. But I am a guy who would rather not make the playoffs then lose in the first round.

Both are idiots in this ordeal. McDaniels for even considering the idea to trade Cutler for Cassels. What if he actually went through with the trade? Plus he's a liar. He said that he was not going to trade Jay, and then ends up considering the prospect of trading him. Of course when you say that to your QB, your gonna break trust.

But Cutler is being a big unprofessional baby about the whole ordeal. Big whoop if you were in a trade. Especially when you called for one in the first place then retract. This is NFL business. Names are gonna get tossed around (however stupid they may be). Cutler is being a huge drama queen and turned this into a joke. I'm more mad at Cutler for how he's dealing with this, but still angry at McDaniels for instigating it.

How is listening to a deal trying to trade him.

What are you supposed to do. If Tampa offers 2 1sts and a 3rd for Cutler and NE only wants 1 2nd for Cassel do you not even consider it or just fluff it off saying this guy is untouchable.

If Cutler thinks he is in the untouchalbe realm, then he is crazy IMO. He is a good young QB, but below other good young QBs like Rivers etc. There are at least 6 QB in the leage I would take ahead of Cutler and and that is just off the top of my head.

I still think this was TB trying to get Cutler. Denver didnt go around calling teams offering Cutler but they did listen and consider offers. That is different.

If a team calls up the Flames and offers 2 1sts and a 3rd for Phaneuf do the flames say - no he is untouchable. Or do they look at their cap space and the upcoming draft prospects and think about the deal.

I'm pretty certain with the latest shenaningans by both sides, that Cutler will be traded, probably during the draft.

Both sides are being completely childish in the whole manner. But cutler is whining like some prima-donna who's won 4 Super Bowls.

That being said, when your owner says the following, it means you are not untouchable at all.

Quote:
Pat Bowlen: "I'm disappointed in the whole picture, not just disappointed that we might lose our star quarterback."

I think Pioli should move Cassel for Jay Cutler. The Chiefs would be gaining a more skilled QB and cut a heck of a lot of salary as well. Maybe McDaniels would throw in a first round pick as well. Seriously though, if the so called Patriot arrogance is what caused the tiff with Cutler in the first place, I can't see him panning out in KC either.

One would think that Culter's immaturity would have been exposed at team interviews before he was drafted?

I don't think there's any way the Chiefs get Cutler and a first for Cassel. Cutler and McDaniel have poisoned this situation so badly that other GMs know they dont have to overpay to get him. Besides, I think Pioli prefers Cassel.

As for the interview - players like Vince Young are drafted 3rd overall and I think you had to be a moron not to see how he would fail in the NFL. Players hire agents who have teams of personnel to prep a player for the draft - mock interviews, canned answers, addressing any previous questionable decisions by the players.

The Broncos situation is ridiculous. The blame needs to be spread around - ownership needs to have a better handle on McDaniels in his first couple months on the job, McDaniels is risking setting his team back years just at the chance of making a quarterback switch that is at best, a lateral move and Cutler needs to grow up.

Young, Cutler and Leinart. Quite the draft class of losers.

No doubt that Pioli prefers Cassel. I was just dreaming. I'm slowly warming up to the fact that Matt Cassel is the new starting QB of the Kansas City Chiefs. I hope he is tough, because he is going to take a beating.

I don't think this is the sort of leadership a team hopes to have from it's QB.

Is Cutler's agent feeding him this stuff, or is Cutler as big a prima donna as he is appearing to be?
