Unless these theorists can link Donadoni to the conspiracy, there isn't much to stand on. I'm a die-hard Italy fan (obviously), but aside from the offside goals, they have no one to blame but themselves. This is a team in transition, and they have the wrong manager to do that.
They should have 4 points right now... but they also should not have fielded the team they did against Holland, and played as poorly as they did.
Incidentally, the Dutch are fielding a questionable side, but it should be enough on paper to beat the Romanians.

Romania looking very nervous and defensive. Holland relaxed and playing the football we all love to see. Holland should be 2 up.

Watching France and Italy play is painful. They look like amateur sides. Brutal.

Looks like the Dutch are doing the honorable thing. It could come back to bite them. I have no doubts ITA would roll-over if the situation was reversed, and I would not blame them. You should not apologize for looking out for your own interests.

The pitch was very wet. France were absolutely horrible, Italy not much better.
I'm shocked at the way Romania played. The Dutch were going at half speed and the Romanians didn't even attack or have a good chance at goal!

Bring it on haters. It'll make the gloating all the more fun.
Props to the Dutch for not throwing the game but from what I watched Romania looked like they were the ones trying to throw the game.
Italians just dominated the French. Very few chances for les bleus. If Luca Toni could put the damn ball in the net he could have had about 3 goals today.
FORZA AZZURRI!!

Enjoy the next three days Italy, you'll be out by Saturday. Thank Luca Toni for a fine dive. The way he threw his head back was embarassing and changed the entire match.
I hate Spain, and hate Torres and Villa, but nothing would make me happier than seeing them light up the Italians. Well, a Portugal win on Thursday would probably be better.

Now we know why Holland (along with Brazil) are the World's favorite team.
The final should be between the Netherlands 'A' team the Netherlands 'B' team

They have to get to a final to win me over. 3 group wins mean nothing if they don't perform when it counts and that goes for everyone. Outside of Croatia, the teams that are thru were expected to be where they are. No one expected Croati to go 3-0 and they have been a great story.

wow harsh words coming from a supporter of the most embarrassing player on the planet Christiano Ronaldo. He has the maturity of an 8 year old and plays with about as much honor as one too. A spot he took over from Totti, a waste of an Italian.
That is not to say that I don't realize that the Italians dive with the best of them. However, it is not only accepted in much of Europe the art of simulation is applauded as a skill. Personally i find it embarrassing, but hey when in Rome.

Yes that is true. Both Holland and Spain have to prove they can win the big one. My point was that nobody hates Holland. Certain people hate England, France, Portugal, Germany... ALOT of people hate Italy and Argentina.
But no one hates Holland because they play a stylish/entertaining game that everyone likes win or lose.

Pirlo and Gattuso miss the next match. Hopefully Spain will take advantage.
Luca Toni has over taken Kuyt for the worst finisher in the world. Absolutely terrible. He should have had upwards of 3 goals today. I think his rehearsing how to fling his head back as dramatically as possible anytime he is touched has taken away from his skill.

Gattuso is a non-factor. He should have been taken off at halftime because 11 against 10 there really is no job for him to do. Pirlo on the other hand will be dearly missed by Italy. Spain are such a strange team, they looked ordinary against Sweden. Who knows what team will show up on Sunday.
The worst finisher in the world is Gomez
