I think we don't see Parekh or Suniev. I think we see Hunt in for Frost.

We’ll see him before the end of the year. But I still have a feel it won’t be until they are 100% eliminated

I was thinking this after last night’s game. But still think they will stick with their roster until they are eliminated

Not playing Parekh will cost them if they go that way. Firmly believe using him is their best shot at winning these games.
Take the help, Flames. Just accept it.
Don't go it the hard way like always.

And beyond. We're gonna trott out the annual "every game is important" mantra while we dress every single vet we can find, even after elimination.

Really hope Dry gets in, 48 points in 48 games in the minors at 29 years old.
Hopefully like last year he gets in on the top line.

I still contend that Parekh is too round of a peg for our square-hole systems. You can't just jam a skilled creative into the rigid, locked down world of Flames hockey. He's gonna be putting pucks into open areas where no one is (because they're in the corners trying to figure out why the puck isn't there).
Perhaps a bit facetious, but the point still remains. I like Huska, I just don't know that he's the right coach for creativity and skill.
Edit: I hope I'm wrong though, because I do really like Huska - and the players seem to really like him too.

Think you are being over dramatic.
The whole roster has been overturned minus Backlund and Andersson in the last 2-3 years.

so Parekh hasn't played a game yet but we should be looking for a new coach because ours couldn't coach him?
he's going to play at some point this season and then likely all of next year - what exactly is the issue?

Parekh will be fine. Great players play well regardless of the system their in.
I think the way the Flames play right now is more indicative of the personnel and lack of skill we have, as opposed to that being Huska's innate system. If we had multiple super stars on our team capable of breaking games open single handedly, Huska would adjust to that as need.
Sutter, known for having teams who were boring and defense first got career offensive high in the 21/22 season from Gaudreau, Tkachuk, Lindholm, Mangiapane, Andersson and Hanifin. Berube in a similar vain in Toronto this year is getting great production out their extremely talented forwards as well.
Don't think Huska will be the limiting factor for Parekh.

Hunt also has the highest PPG on the Wranglers but don't let that get in the way of a grinder holing back the stars narrative

Put me in the camp that thinks Parekh plays tomorrow too.
Doesn't it just make sense? Just lost a game to a crappy team, went 0/6 on the powerplay, we NEED every single goal we can get, back at home.
Perfect storm to sit a Bean or a Pachal.

Hunt has always been loved by every coach he has ever had. Yes, he is a tweener, but he is a guy you can plug into your lineup and know that it won't hurt you. This is why coaches tend to want to sign this guy. He is good, cheap depth for teams trying to compete.
Now, you may argue that the Flames should shift gears and play the youth and give up on competing, but that's a different argument.
I would personally prefer to see Suniev and Parekh in the lineup tomorrow as I think this team is probably running on fumes and injuries and could use an injection of youth, excitement and fresh legs to help them out, with potentially help with scoring (scoring may be too much to ask from them off the bat!). Heck, especially with Suniev since he has just come from college where he was playing a more structured nhl-style game vs older players. However, if Huska (big IF) decides to play Hunt, it is because he wants someone who is reliable out there, and I wouldn't be the slightest bit upset about it. However, if the Flames are eliminated and he isn't playing Suiev and/or Parekh even in game 82, then yeah, I would be upset.
Huska is going to play who he thinks gives him the best chance to win the game tomorrow, period.

why aren't people clamoring to recall Kerins instead of plugging in Suniev?
again, i am excited to see this kid play too (like Parekh) but might be setting him up for failure...but shiny new toy, etc, etc.

Some people just want to be upset a lot of the time.
