First of all, that Moustache is absolutely worth extra credit. And he was responsible for a number of their (very few) early season wins last year so I absolutely want to give him the benefit of the doubt.
But "when Varsho comes back" is probably ~30 games in or close to that, given the recent update that he hasn't even started throwing in game type situations yet.
Realistically once Varsho is back someone is going down, and right now based on performance you'd pick Schneider. If he starts to hit they might send down Straw instead.
I agree it makes sense to give someone a full chance (he's only had like a dozen at bats so far) - which is why I said there's no way they send him down now just to bring up Barger or someone like that. There's a change coming with Varsho for sure, might as well hold tight until then. With the number of lefties on the team he will keep getting at-bats as long he's up.
Getting Gimenez and Santander was always going to make it tough for him, because the only defensive spots he plays are 2B and LF.
