20 picks in the 7th round have been traded. 3 of them twice.

When they were talking about Jamieson, seemed like more discussion at flames table. Trading into the 7th maybe?

This has to be the best draft in a decade+?
On paper at least for now, but Craig having a full year to deploy his plan is an absolute treat to be apart of.
A+ or bust.
Can’t wait for prospect camp, plan to be there every day.
Happy it’s back at winsport and not all the way down at 7 chiefs.

Drafting is Conroy's strength, I can get used to that. Just keep piling picks, and make them count! Great draft!

The D with offensive flair in our system is unreal right now.
I don't think we've ever had a group of D prospects like this
Parekh
Brzustewicz
Poirier
Morin
Mews

Great draft. Nice that they used all of their picks instead of trading a pick or two for a vet.

8 Canadians and 2 Russians (NHL.com has Laing listed as an American but he was born in Kelowna and everyone else has him as Canadian).
- 7 CHL players (4 OHL & 3 WHL)
- 2 headed to the NCAA (Michigan & Niagara)
- 1 in Russia

I was out for a while this morning, then was following from behind all the way through. It was hilarious to see all the:
"I want Basha at 28!" Nope, got him at 41
"I want Mews at 41! And at 62!" Nope, got him at 74
"I want Misa <basically every pick>" Nope, got him at 150.

God damn, what a draft. And we're already set up to plunder 2025 and 2026 as well, nevermind what might be out there for Andersson and Kadri.
What a breath of fresh air after years of Treliving pissing away picks for nothing.

Hoskin is an over-ager who turned 20 in May.
Jamieson is an over-ager who turns 19 on July 15.
Misa and Basha are both late 2005 births who could be sent to the AHL starting in 2025.

The Caps grabbed Petr Sikora and now Miroslav Satan, are they drafting old-timers to play with Ovie?

Why are there still so many kids and their families there. I am 100% wish the NHL continues with a big draft event, but families and agents have to be realistic with this kids. You think you might go anywhere but the 1st, don't go.
