Yes and we collapsed in the playoffs and Markstrom got exposed.

Arguably our best d-man this year. Those saying it’d Andersson, that’s debatable but if Andersson is deemed best d-man by most I would say Weegar falls in line right after him. He’s been a beast. Our goaltending has been our biggest downfall.

Sutter has lost the room. Never seen a coach get the room back after it’s been lost but hey maybe we’re different…

Tre is also probably past expiry here too but yeah Sutter is getting less out of these guys than they are on paper

What has Treliving done to make this season so bad? He gave his coach a 115 point winger and an 87 point 2nd line center fresh off a Stanley Cup victory. The coach managed to isolate both players and make questionable decisions pretty well all season that largely blew up in his face.

Sutter and Huberdeau are just a terrible combo. As Lanny said, it’s Darryl’s way or the highway which is a brutally idiotic way to coach. Coaching is about maximizing the roster you have (especially when it has flaws like this one). Nope, Darryl doesn’t do that.

This is just a brutal match.
Disagree. He hasn’t been elite. He’s been a top point producer but I can numerous wingers who are elite compared to him.

Kucherov,Marchand, Kane, Pasternak , draisaitl, Connor , rantanen , tachuck, tachuck, panarin , gaudreau, kaprizov, ovechkin, Wilson, …

Elite connotes something amazing: the best of, most rarefied. Huberdeau is not better than any of those players. I would have any of those guys over him.

He’s paid better, next year, than kucherov, Marchand, Drai, and how many more ?

He’s paid to be elite but he isn’t showing he’s elite.

Or they are playing the best team in the NHL since the ASB and haven't had much go right

I think you're setting yourself up for a disappointment if you expect that. He will put up more points in a different system but I never saw that kind of player in Florida. Just the fact that he is almost totally a pass first -type of player means that he heavily relies on his linemates to produce. He also doesn't carry the puck up the ice.
Trust me on that Saqe, I don’t have any expectations at all. From my viewings of Huby in the past, agreed, he has never been a good puck carrier. That is why in my humble opinion, he has never been a line driver. I was merely stating that with a contract at the cap he signed, expectations arise as a result.

The saddest part is I really wanted to see Chris hold that cup in a Flames jersey.

He brings a lot of love and joy around the dome and for the team.

How many one dimensional wingers get paid like elite players? Ours … horrible cap management. Iggy is Sadorov thinking how much money he could make in this era of the nhl.

If we're being honest, this team has been quite bad since the all star break.

They're only in the race because Winnipeg has been worse.

Sutter was a meany because Kadri hasn’t done anything of value in 20 games so Kadri told the rest of the team to join him in giving zero fatas in LA and really show that grumpy gus who has the $49M!

Stick to your continually wild, baseless and pointless theorizing if you want to waste the energy.

But Friedman said!

The roster is poor. It’s ok to accept the simple answer when it’s true.
