Really? Dude was asleep long before the game ended.

who knows, probably some truth to it all, and telling I suppose that the players are responding directly to Francis. I do know that he (Francis) seemed pretty pleased about the whole thing on the radio yesterday
|
On Friday, on the FAN, Francis was talking about how I believe Markstrom and maybe Vladar as well, took shots at Francis to his face after interviews. I'm actually not part of the majority on CP that dislike Francis, but it seems many of the players don't.

I tend to believe Huberdeau i.e. that he and Sutter are on good terms, and that he wasn't aware his agent was going to say what he did. IMO the agent was just trying to lessen the heat on Huberdeau to live up to the Flame's expectations, by suggesting the reason for the team's poor performance was not the fault of his client, but other factors.
As for what is the real cause of the team's poor performance, IMO I think that the team is playing fairly well overall, and I would place the greatest majority of the reason on the unreliable goaltending. Until that problem is solved, I don't have that much hope for the team.

Injuries, missing Kylington and Markstrom is what is killing this team.

I would eliminate injuries and leave the remaining two. Flames relative to other teams (that are also in playoff spots such as Avs) have yet again another season of being relatively healthy. Some players have missed a few games here and there, but overall the core players of the squad have been injury free, and not miss long stretches of play.
Yet.

Ya, if the Flames ever had a serious injury bug on the backend they would be screwed. Up front it would almost force them to try young players.

And some pouting can be added in. Someone or some people are pouting and they are grown ass men. Grow up. Seems like some of the beer league teams out there.

Too bad there aren't beer league coaches and beer league agents. Just a guy getting wasted behind the bench yelling incoherently while the players do whatever anyway, and his best friend in the stands cos-playing an agent posting crap to a facebook page for all of 20 people to pretend to care about. Sounds like a good time!

Everyone's significant others could cosplay the rabid fans and tear their partners apart all over social media like we do the real players!

Huberdeau being more or less useless for the season must be part of the list. Team is playing without any elite forward talent, that is a direct failing of Huberdeau.
Dude has gotta man up and make plays already, or he’ll be the laughing stock of the league as the worst contract out there next season. He can only hope is agent whines on twitter for him then.

Tanev missing any games, let alone 10 so far, is a huge blow to this team.

Is there a metric that takes value to the team into consideration? Because that’s what I’m saying.

If such a metric existed the games Lucic was injured would just even it out

Inability to play hockey in OT and goaltending are the main issues
Huberdeau and Kadri are close behind
