As a Canadian sports moment, a Canadian golfer, winning the Canadian Open would be absolutely huge and likely the sports story of the year. Hasn't happened since 1954.

That is sad if people think winning a run of the mill golf tournament is the biggest sport moment of the year for Canadians, but maybe shows how low down we rank in the sports world.

Yeah, run of the mill golf tournament. It's the 3rd oldest tournament on the PGA tour. And it's our national open. It would be monumental for a Canadian to win it.

I guess Murray being the 2nd best player on the Nuggets is up there , but it hasn’t been a great year for Canadian sports

Hahaha so cool. All the English guys have come out to the 9th because the fans cheered when Fleetwood missed.

Rose called it a Ryder cup atmosphere. What a great tournament. Easily one of, if not the best this year.
