I like Chuck, but if he did really request a trade, he is the logical guy to go, as he is a great player (the kind of player you need on any team really), young and still a ton of upside.
It would be a bit of a different story if he didn't ask for a trade, for me at least...
but the assets seem more aligned with what is reasonable at this stage of the game...
Heck yeah!!! Throw in a 7th if that will make Buffalo cave.
I scanned so fast cause I had to go do something. I assumed we were posting legit Twitter rumours, but I guess people are throwing feces at the wall in here too.
I'm still holding out hope its a Tkachuk+Zadorov package. Make it so.
Why would it already happen? Trades can literally happen at any time.
Just seems like a trade that would happen during business hours. It's past 8 PM EST and the games are starting. It's about the time where ...even if agreed...the parties might just say ...let's announce tomorrow.

Not a chance. A deal this big will be announced the minute send is hit on the transmission

Flames aren’t playing, and the only guy it likely includes from Buffalo isn’t playing either.

The Iginla deal went late into the evening. Plus Calgary plays tomorrow and would need to call up some one if Rtitchie is out. Unless Zary is ready, I don't think they have the bodies in Calgary. Is Stockton playing tonight?
Personally, I don't like the thought of giving up that much when there are few contenders and large risks associated here. I have no problem with Tkachuk included, but if the 1st rounder isn't conditional on Eichel's games played, I think it's a ripoff.
Secondly, given what so many have mentioned about Tkachuk walking after next year (from Buffalo in this case), what are the chances Buffalo flipping him to Las Vegas right after this deal? That would be interesting as he'd fit in perfectly there.
