That's alright, lots of good things in that game, including a nice 4 run offensive night. Just a poor starting pitching performance, that's all. That is going to happen as we don't have that part of the rebuild done yet.

Tomorrow should be really fun.

Completely off topic but with last nights full house unmask-fest, and tonights partial sell out, it should be interesting to keep track of the covid situation in Texas a week from now. The potential super spreader event would be really interesting to monitor against the vaccines being distributed faster than here.

Lots of bright spots.

Bichette looking like the stud he is at the plate.
Borucki was dominant.
Bullpen continues to look good.
Vlad hitting the absolute piss out of the ball, right to the SS but still.

DFA Roark and tidy up the D a bit!

Can't wait to see what this offense can do when Springer gets into the lineup.

Darn.

Well, can't get garbage pitching and hope to win games. Hope I don't see Roark out there again for the Jays for a long long time, if ever.

Roark (or the lack of an option to replace him) is what is currently holding this team back from being actually quite great.

They can still be good with him, but they will lose the majority of the games he starts which is a tough hole to be in 20% of the time

The good news is that Roark was so bad that we probably will never see him start again. Had he been mediocre or shown a couple of flashes, he might have had a few more starts before we finally ended the Roark experience.

That’s what I thought last season. I hope you’re right, but this isn’t new.

After his comments about his “manhood” last year he should have been fired in to the sun. I have a short list of all time blue Jays I hate, and he’s definitely top 10

I was hopeful when they signed Roark, that at the very least he would eat a bunch innings and give them professional pitching. He hasn't been able to do any of that. Ray should be back soon, and hopefully Pearson and Hatch are right behind him.

I wonder if the Jays should piggy back Pearson and Hatch this year like the Rangers are doing with the two starters tonight. Both are going to be on innings and pitch limits this year, so piggy backing them might help get the most out of both of them.

That's what I'm hoping. Sacrifice a loss for an exit.

Yeah, perhaps there was more to it for Montoyo. In that case he should've let him go longer to punt the guy outta there for good.

Shi Davidi says they have reason to give him more runway until Ray is back. No Shi, they don't.

Tanner Roarke would fit in well with this years version of the Flames.

I just checked the Score app to see what time the Jay's game starts today and saw the Texas pitcher Gibson has a 135.0 ERA. Haha!

He pitched .1 innings and gave up 5 earned runs! Ouch!

I can’t believe I’m about to say this because it’s a complete 180 from a few years ago, but I have no problem with the signing. I’m sure they want him around in time for the new stadium so it looks like directionally they’re in a good position.

No reason not to extend Atkins at this point.

A playoff caliber roster full of young controllable players and lots of payroll flexibility, plus by all accounts a top 10 or even top 5 farm system with at least a handful of top 100 MLB prospects.

He's done a very solid job so far.
