I'm wondering if because my order has both a PS5 and Myles Morales in it that it's the reason why I haven't been charged yet.
I haven't ordered from Best Buy in a while so I can't remember if they're like Amazon and they charge you as an item becomes available or if they wait until every item is available.
They charge / ship as items become available. I had a separate order that was an extra PS5 controller and Miles Morales together. The extra controller has been paid for, shipped, and arrived.

Y’all gotta chill, they’re not gonna ship your console out ten days ahead of time. You’d get it on like Monday and Best Buy would be in a world of #### with Sony

it's more the fact that if you get charged you know you have a console. I don't care when they ship, as long as I know I'll be getting them.
In other news, The PS5 will not support SSD expansion at launch:
Sony says its PlayStation 5 can load virtual worlds far faster than ever before, thanks to one of the fastest solid-state drives ever made — but it’s also not a particularly big drive. Sony has confirmed to The Verge that you won’t be able to expand that blazing-fast SSD storage on day one.
While the PS5 features a dedicated internal slot that can theoretically fit standard stick-shaped M.2 SSDs and an easy way to access it, the slot will apparently be disabled out of the box. “This is reserved for a future update,” Sony tells The Verge.
It's like you are chemgear's evil twin. He's always posting anti-Xbox news to your anti-PS news. Not that that's a bad thing as it's good to see equal representation.

Oh hi, Mr. Pot. Thanks for your contribution/bait to promote the THUNDERDOME.
Thanks for buying the whole seat but you'll only need the edge!
I had cancelled my XBox Series X from Amazon after getting the "might not be inventory for launch day" email.
Honestly I think I might hold off on both for the time being though. Series X doesn't have anything I can't play on PC right now, and on PS5 really Spider-Man Miles Morales is the only launch title that really interests me. Plus I still don't have a 4K TV/monitor to play any of this stuff on yet anyways.
But damn does that Spider-Man game look good, especially the Into The Spider Verse suit. They really should just make a full into the Spider Verse game, complete with that art style, man would that look great in 4K with that insomniac Spider-man gameplay.

Black Friday (week?) sales are coming up soon. Could be a good time to look into what might work for you and see if the asking price hits your threshold during the period.

I figure that I for sure will get one by this Christmas - the 75" 4K models are now in a price range that makes sense for sure.
The trade off I'm looking at is potentially investing in a gaming laptop now (portability is big to me), and then grabbing a PS5 next year.
Or waiting until this time next year for the gaming laptop (once the RTX 3070 laptops are out) and keeping the PS5.
I feel like Gaming Laptop + PS5 combo is the right mix for me long term. Since there is nothing on XBOX Series X that I wouldn't be able to play on a 2070/3070 laptop that I can take portable (even if it's just at 1080p) and then I can use the PS5 for my true High Def, 4k Ray Tracing machine for a console.

When looking at 4k TV's ensure that the one you are getting is HDMI 2.1, or you will be maxed out at 4K 60 fps and won't be able to get the true 4k 120fps when those games become available!

Just got a notification from Amazon for my shipping date!!!!.....for Spiderman. Still nothing about the PS5 but I imagine it'll come next week or the week after.
My Xbox order from Microsoft no longer allows me to change my payment method or cancel so I'm guessing the hamsters at Microsoft are getting things ready.
I also decided to make my TV purchase and ended up getting an 85" 900H from Costco along with a Denon S750H (B Stock) to go with it. Figured the receiver was a good temporary solution for the next couple of years till there's more HDMI 2.1 proliferation in receivers. And yes, I know about the issues on the 900H with 4K/120 but 4K/60 seems like it would be fine with me + feedback seems to be when sitting far way it's not as noticeable vs sitting 2 feet away.

I picked up a 55inch 900h a week ago. What are the 4k/120 issues?
The above is not specific to blur but towards the end of the thread there is some discussion. I just provided a link because the thread is more about gaming on the X900 which I figured you might be interested in.
Some interesting information when it comes to loading times when comparing legacy games such Red Dead Redemption, Final Fantasy, Destiny 2 between PS5 and XSX.
Nearly every game that is third party, and not yet optimized/enhanced for the next gen consoles loaded faster on the XSX.
Best Buy finally charged me for my PS5 and Myles Morales. It says I won't get mine until the 18th though which was expected since I don't live in a major city.
