Both players having relatively weak seasons compared to their past ones is why the Flames offense have been awful this season.

There's a lot of goals/goals generated missing due to their drop in production. At least with Tkachuk, he brings other tangibles that he's a player to keep now and in the future. Gaudreau on the other hand, if he's not producing, he's useless to the team. And his turnovers actually are harmful.
