3M is only good against legit top lines. Against lesser lines they have no direction and are better apart.

If James Neal were on a breakaway with an empty net the puck would spontaneously combust.

Hamonic gone for the night. He must be near death. So is Lars Eller. Were they the two that collided?

He has not been great for several games now. I mean, not as great as he is capable of being.

Thankfully, Backlund has been excellent.

I'm not ragging on Bennett, but every time I watch him play he always leaves me wanting a lot more. Maybe my expectations were too high after his draft year, but I keep wondering if he'll ever put it all together. Or is he always going to be a 2/3 line guy?

Worse...he'd just whiff it and it would miss wide.

You can really see how Bennett's puck skills and vision don't mesh. One is excellent the other keeps him from being a scoring forward.

The frustrating thing is that he could top out as that guy who will look like there is always more to give. He could end up as a guy that is always looking like he is on the cusp.

Which is a huge upgrade over Brouwer who peaked the day he signed his calgary contract. Neal has more to give, but wow is it painful to watch right now.
