The UK has now had 4 chancellors of the exchequers (finance ministers) since July, some wag in the Labour Party pointed out she had had menstrual cycles that lasted longer than the last one

Lol QP in british parliament is unhinged. That question/comment would have resulted in an inquiry over here.

Kwarteng has outlasted just one finance minister: Iain Macleod, who died after 30 days in office.

Isn't the guy just being scapegoated? Basically the goto move for prime ministers around the world is to sack some minister when they get in trouble.

He hasn’t been scapegoated - he deserved to go.

So too, did the PM - she won’t be long following him. They were lockstep together and had planned for this for years. They made no secret of it, and they were warned that exactly this would happen - and not just by economists, but by Truss’s far more credible leadership rivals.

For months, the population were warned what would happen, and the vast majority of the voters watched on aghast as a small handful of Tory members made the worst possible choice.

Sound familiar?

Going to be the shortest serving PM ever, and it isn't even close.

LOL They should just try going without a Prime Minister for awhile, because this strategy doesn't seem to be working.

Will the Conservatives get wiped out in the next election or are they just the defacto party of power over there now? This has been quite the gong show for them.

If they have options, they’ll choose the worst one.

Book it.

that would be awesome.

Remember the comic Bloom County? They had a brilliant run of strips featuring the royal family when William was young.

William really wanted to lop off some heads. Be a good time to finally let him do so.
