It's there for the taking in the 3rd.

They had the book on him in year #2. It's just the Johnny playbook. The buttonhook, I'll say loses his defenders more times than not. So no problem there. The low percentage behind the goal line backhander is a little annoying though, but if one of those goes in every once in a while, it's okay, keeps the goalie fully committed to the post every time he goes low instead of maybe cheating a bit on the pass.

Stone drawing in changes the dynamics of the D. I have not seen the defence this bad for a while. The transition game is non-existence

Meh not really. His style has always been to make moves to draw attention to himself and set up his linemates. As much has seeing him Deke the world and put it in himself is awesome, it's not his style

It would be one where they legit played with fire, not like most of the other third period comebacks, where they were the better team all along.

Oof that was ugly.
This could easily be 4 or 5-1 if Smith wasn't as dialed in

I would settle for an OT point tonight. 3/6 on the trip and Smith finding his confidence? I'm ok with that. Come on Flames!

Ben Affleck in disguise?

I know an accountant that looks just like him so it checks out.

They're tired. It's not because Stone is in the lineup.

Flames down by 1 heading into the best period? I'll take it! Especially since the skaters look a bit gassed. But they can do it. Smith's played great and well enough to earn the W. He's covered up his one bad goal with some massive saves.

The guys owe it to Smith to turn it up in the 3rd

You don't lose games with your goalie playing like this

On a positive note, the Avalanche are slaying the oilers 3-0 midway through the 2nd. E=NG.

Well, the Sharks just look like a talented team that play well together. They give an impression that they're really not firing on all cylinders but they've got a lot of talent. The Flames look out of it, but it's not an easy game.
