Caps need a win tonight. Seems ridiculous to suggest its a must win at Game 2, but there is no way the Caps beat Vegas 4 out of 5 games after this.
Vegas has lost only 3 times this entire playoffs. Once at home.

Sunday evening Mrs. Furnace said we should go to Vegas for the games since I start work next week and she doesn’t have a busy week at work so we’re here.
This city is Knights crazy. It’s everywhere and anywhere. It rivals our 04 run for buzz. Nearly everyone has a knights logo on and there are banners, backdrops, floorstickers, signs, you name it at every direction. The only thing missing are masses of car flags. It overshadows everything else happening in Vegas right now which I think is hard to do.
Monday was pretty interesting to be down pregame and during the game in front of the arena. Pure dance party vibe in Toshiba Plaza before the game complete with appearances from some of the performers. Blue Man Group were on stage for a while staring at people. Cheese? Absolutely but there is no denying the everyday Vegas resident has bought in on this. Tons of families in the plaza and once the game started there were still many thousands of people in the plaza standing watching the monitor or the giant screen on the side of the arena.
Success brings fans for sure but the team promotional arm seem to have grabbed ahold of the opportunity and they are making long term fans. As Mrs. Furnace noted they do cheer and get excited at every rush into the Capitals end even on a nothing play, but the nuances of the game come in time.
It’s been fun being in a cup run environment again. We need it back in Calgary.

Vegas is the entertainment capital of the world so I shouldn’t be surprised they have openings like this down to science.
It’s still awesome though. I’d love to see the crowd and feel the vibe right now.
