The reason Bishop isn't a Flame right now is because Treliving balked at those contract demands when the Lightning allowed them to talk contract. After Bishop's season I simply don't see him offering anything close to that.

bishop has lost his chance at a $7 million salary. Terrible this season

I'm sorry but this isn't your average slump. Someone needs to grow a pair of balls and fire this ####ing coach, this is a complete #### show. Management needs to realize they ####ed up with this hire and the ####ed up their evaluation of this team. Still rebuilding not near being a contender and they have a coach with zero emotion and zero motivation ability. Coaches have been fired for a hell of a lot less than this #### palooza.

I think if hte Flames had any kind of goal support, Johnson wouldn't be a bad 1a for this team going forward on a short term deal until a goalie prospect is ready and you get a few years out of them on a good deal.

I think if the Flames had a 25 goal scorer on this roster the Flames would be a playoff team and I see that happening next year.

The lack of scoring is such a hurdle unless you have elite level goaltending with a complimentary defence. The flames have neither, so, best to try to load up a bit on offense until some prospects give you the flexibility to be more balanced.
