This would be a great time for the Commissioner to make a public appearance and a say the league is looking into this and will act accordingly. Has anyone seen the commissioner in the last 2 years (mostly serious question - he's definitely not in the public much)

I don't know if BLM is telling the truth or not. But saying you believe it must be true because he said it is totally nonsensical.

This should be really easy to investigate. However this is the CFL. At most I predict a $25,000 fine.

Nah, this is practically New England Patriots/Bill Belichick level organizational cheating and I think draft picks could/should be forfeited IF they are guilty of this. As a fan I want this junk out of the team I'd they're doing it. Murphy/Jones will have lots of interesting questions to answer at the very least.

My post makes no sense?!? You appear to be the one questioning Scott Mtchell's credibility as well as his sources and I'm sure you know that he writes for the Calgary Sun. I'm pretty sure his sources are legit and I'm also quite sure he takes his profession seriously and wouldn't be tweeting info that hasn't been carefully vetted. So I'll ask again, why are you questioning Scott Mitchell?!? Is it because of the paper he writes for?

Ok fan pissing match aside, I don't think he made it up because he's a compulsive liar or something. That being said, teams talk smack about rival franchises all the time. He has instantly created a media ####storm in Regina. You don't think this will be a distraction for the Riders for the next 3 days? This is brilliant gamesmanship. But IMO making accusations like this on twitter seem childish and petty. There were plenty of ways he could have helped out this without making himself look foolish, so I think we have to consider the possibility he's doing it to create a distraction.

Like I said though, fake injuries, taxi squads etc has been in the league for 50 years. It is disappointing if true because the Riders were the ones who pushed for a level playing field when it was the Evil Empire up in the City of No Goodness and Toronto that were screwing the Riders by pulling this crap. I don't believe that just because we were screwed that it makes it ok to turn around and try and screw others.

No, no. I'm sure he's a fine reporter. I was making a joke that he repeated Bo's comments almost verbatim and then said "according to sources".

I think it is pretty obvious who the sources are. I'm not doubting his credibility. As for the credibility of the sources, like I said, this should be really easy to investigate.

Is there anything Saskatchewan could do that would make you not spin some bull#### scenario in your head? I'm pretty sure if the Riders signed a serial killer you'd be saying he was just misunderstood and saying kudos to the Riders for giving someone a second chance.

The Riders have behaved like neanderthals for about a decade now. The minute it became the cool thing to do in the Province and they got a little war chest of cash, they've been spending like drunken sailors, signing players regardless of their criminal history, violating the cap they SCREAMED to have implemented, stealing coaches and personnel, and flat out saying #### you to the rest of the league, we'll do what we want.

You keep telling yourself that it's all media spin, the rest of the league will sit back and say it's about ####ing time they got called for their actions.

Both are patently true if you take any sort of objective look at their history.

I hope the league comes down hard on the Riders and takes away picks. Jones is a total assclown and I suspect this is his orchestration.

Who cares about a fine... the Riders have everyone in that province sending them loonies from their tractors. Take away picks and hit them where it hurts: on the field.
